Earlier this year, Young M.A released her sophomore album Off The Yak, which features 11 songs collaborations with Rubi Rose, Max YB, Fivio Foreign, and WAP5TAR. The Brooklyn rapper dropped off a new video yesterday (Nov. 17), the visual to his new track “Friendly Reminder,” an Jai Beats-produced and IamTash visual that reveals M.A keeping it real about the often dangerous street life and how she is affected by it daily:
The accompanying “Friendly Reminder” video was directed by Marc Diamond, and features shots of M.A. along with her crew and bottles of Nyak cognac, a brand she partnered with just before Off The Yak dropped. While high-end jewelry and heavy artillery remain in sight, M.A delivers a hard-hitting performance without leaving the vantage point.
Young M.A’s official debut LP Herstory In The Making struck stores in 2019. The album includes 21 songs as well as contributions from Relle Bey and Max YB. M.A. continued her momentum a year after Herstory In The Making was released with Red Flu, which provided more than enough entertainment during the more significant quarantine period.
