A brand-new EP from Dreamville’s very own Cozz titled “Fortunate” dropped this past week. The EP consists of seven songs, with a single YG feature. As a buildup to the release, Cozz released singles such as “Cry” and “Addicted”. The California rapper has now released the official video for “Cry.” Cozz reveals some honest thoughts on the track:
It did not go quite as smoothly as planned when the project was released. Initially, Cozz’s planned listening experience was hampered by the track listing appearing out of order on streaming services. Originally, “Cry” was slated as the project’s intro. I am fortunate that it’s finally here. The order of the tracks didn’t go according to plan, but at least they’re working on all platforms now,” he wrote to his fans. I have uploaded the video for the song ‘Cry’ in celebration of shit being fixed in this episode. It is one of my favorites.”
Cozz last released a full-length album in 2018 with Effected. He released a single in 2013 called Cozz & Effect. Between then and now, you could hear him dishing out impressive verses on compilations like Revenge of the Dreamers. As an artist on “LamboTruck,” he collaborates with Reason and Childish Major, as well as on “1993” featuring JID, J. Cole, Buddy, EarthGang, and Smino, and more.
