Earlier this week, Shenseea released her first single of the year, “Dolly,” produced by Romeich Entertainment and featuring her with her self-confidence and poking fun at the critics who doubt her beauty:
As seen in the accompanying video, “Dolly” sees Shenseea dressed up as a life-size Barbie doll, giving off a feel almost similar to those of Nicki Minaj’s classic videos. There are also notable cameo appearances by TC, Prettii Prettii, and Moyann throughout.
“Dolly” follows Shenseea’s recent releases, such as “Be Good,” “You’re The One I Love,” and “Run Run,” which all serve as preparations for her debut studio album. Besides her own albums, fans can listen to her work on EA Sports’ Madden NFL 22 soundtrack, teaming up with Canadian rapper Belly on “How I’m Feelin’,” and getting her hands on Kanye West’s latest LP DONDA. Despite the inclement weather, Sheenea performed at Hot 97’s Summer Jam last year alongside artists such as DreamDoll, CJ, Swizz Beatz, Rotimi, and more. This was just weeks after Shenseea joined Funkmaster Flex on his radio show to perform over Skillibeng’s viral “Crocodile Teeth” track.
