The Weeknd’s latest effort After Hours came out in the first quarter of 2014, and originally included 14 tracks and several accompanying visuals, all of which depicted The Weeknd as a character heavily inspired by films like Fear and Loathing in Joker, Las Vegas, and Casino. Additionally, the album had a few special editions, which included remixes and collaborations with Doja Cat, Chromatics, Lil Uzi Vert, and Oneohtrix Point Never. The Weeknd’s After Hours has become one of the most commercially successful albums of 2020. It topped the Billboard 200, UK’s Official Albums, and several other charts worldwide. The album is now certified double platinum within the United States alone.
