IQ blessed the masses with a number of solid singles during 2021, such as “Wet,” “Make Up Sex,” “Which One,” and “Merry Go Round.” In his first release for 2022, the young musician offers “Bun Fi Bun,” a genre-inverting tune about a couple cheating on one another. This is a cool vibe that can be played in both the bedroom and on the dance floor.
In the earliest stages of his career, IQ has already gained quite an impressive following, as he is co-signed by Stefflon, Afro B, and many others for his role as a game changer. In addition to his previous talents as a drill artist, he took notes from his father (GQ) and brother (QQ) to incorporate dancehall and other similar styles into his more recent works. Furthermore, he joins Melii, Lucky Daye, and Nafe Smallz among BBC 1Xtra’s Hot for 2020.
There have been numerous top-tier tracks released by IQ in the past few years, including “Good Pain,” “Scream,” “Lockdown,” “Star Girl,” “My Love,” and “If” Prince Akeem and “Spray” Lvly. The 21-year-old released his debut EP Jamaican Prince in 2019, which contains eight tracks and several guest appearances from QQ and Scratch.
Stefflon Don hasn’t released a new project in a few years, although her previous offering, Secure, saw contributions from Future, Tiggs da Author, Ebenezer, Fekky, Haile, Sean Paul, Popcaan, Sizzla, and DJ Khaled. The British singer has released a handful of loose singles and collaborations since then, including “Can’t Let You Go,” “Move,” and “Dip” featuring Ms Banks “Take Off” featuring Kojo Funds, “Phone Down,” “Don Walk” alongside Lil Baby, “Boasty” by Paul, Wiley, and Idris Elba, “How It’s Done,” “Hit Me Up” by Kash Doll, are all songs which hint at the possibility of a follow-up.
