A brand new French Montana album, They Got Amnesia, was released last month. With over 20 records under his belt, French Montana has drawn from a variety of peers to collaborate, including John Legend, Drake, Rick Ross, Saweetie, Fabolous, Doja Cat, and more.
As well as They Got Amnesia, they also made a short film this year, which mainly focused on French’s recent hospitalization. In the beginning of the month, fans got to see the video for “How You King?”, He delivers bars while seeing another version of himself being resuscitated by doctors in an operating room in a scene adapted from the above-mentioned film, Next up, he delivers “Didn’t Get Far,” which continue’s the previous visual. “Mop Stick” and “The Paper,” and are the latest visuals. On the latter track, French is rapping at his feet as he comes back to life.
They Got Amnesia follows last year’s CB5, the fifth installment in his Coke Boys music series, which featured 19 cuts and features Lil Durk, Jim Jones, Chinx, Jack Harlow, Benny the Butcher, A$AP Rocky, and Max B. MONTANA was the official predecessor of They Got Amnesia (released in 2003), which included top tier tracks like “Lockjaw” and “No Stylist.”
